Hello! My name is Sammah and I am 16. My motivation is coming from the lost lives which have been taken away by cancer..

In memory of

All angels who have lost their battle to cancer

To be diagnosed with cancer is the worst scenario you could possibly imagine, it is heartbreaking and unfortunate. It is like a nightmare which you pray never comes true. Many people with cancer feel
sad. They feel a sense of loss of their health, and the life they had before they learned they had this disease.

The one diagnosis that is harder for me to mention but we must keep in mind that it is a reality... is Cancer in young children and Babies. Have they even developed enough mentally and emotionally to understand what Cancer really is and why it has decided to affect them ? Instead they will not understand, they will carry on as usual, that is until they feel the changes in their body, their mood, their happiness, their parents. Sadly there is no cure especially for those of new life … they are so gentle and small-boned.

Not to forget that the survivors have learned a valuable lesson of life. They continued to live and most do volunteer their time to help current cancer patients, striving to battle this disease together.

Life after cancer for non-survivors is an emotional time for their families’. These families lost one of their loved ones. Whether this loved one is a child or an adult. While survivors of cancer have a long path ahead of them, they will start a new life with a better lifestyle and will remember how lucky they are. It’s a start of a new life, for every one.

As you know preventing cancer is a very important part of living well. Eating healthy foods, having the right diet, avoid smoking, staying away from harmful chemicals, and eating high fibre foods are things everyone can do to help. Remember “an ounce of prevention is quart of a cure”.

Imagine waking up one morning and hearing that no one died from cancer that day when usually 450 innocent lives would or imagine a world where babies and children are able to receive a cancer immunisation.
Wouldn't you like to be part of that solution?

So please .. not just for yourself, but for your loved ones and those who surround you help me Walk All Over Cancer and fund life-saving research by sponsoring me.

Surah Al-Baqra, (Verse 277)
"Those who believe, and do deeds of righteousness, and establish regular prayers and regular charity, will have their reward with their Lord: on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve."

Psalm 112:5-9
"It is well with the man who is gracious and lends; He will maintain his cause in judgment. For he will never be shaken; The righteous will be remembered forever. He will not fear evil tidings; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. His heart is upheld, he will not fear, Until he looks with satisfaction on his adversaries. He has given freely to the poor, His righteousness endures forever; His horn will be exalted in honour."

Gautama Buddha
"Before giving, the mind of the giver is happy; while giving, the mind of the giver is made peaceful; and having given, the mind of the giver is uplifted."

Midrash Mishle
"If you see a man giving liberally, it means his wealth will grow; if you see one who shuns charity, it means his wealth will dwindle."
