My Story

I am running race for life with my friend Clare, setting ourselves a new goal of 10k to improve our fitness and also raise awareness and money to help those affected by cancer. As most of you know I was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in 2012 when my youngest son was only 5 months old. Fast forward five years and I am now happily in remission and enjoying my life to its fullest! I was lucky enough to take part in two trials during my treatment which without funding would not be possible. Participating in race for life is my own personal way of saying thank you and contributing to future research that can help those touched by cancer. I appreciate that you may have previously sponsored me when I have participated before. But only £1 per person can make all the difference. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 10k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.
