Teresa Legg (mum) Lillian Courtney (mum & grandma)
My Story
Everyone knows someone affected by cancer. In my (Sam) case it’s my mum and my grandma. Unfortunately at the very young age of just 44 my mum passed away from bowel cancer. In my (Lisa) case I’m running for my mum Rosie who was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. Thankfully it was caught early and she took on her treatment with a fierce attitude. And also my grandma Lillian who passed away from lung cancer 11 years ago. My mum Rosie is also running for her mum Lillian who passed away age 75.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
