In memory of

Shane Pitman

25th Dec 1990 - 19th Dec 2017

My Story

On 19th December 2017 we lost an amazing friend, father, brother and son. Shane was a truly fantastic and insperational person and couldn't do enough for anyone. Unfortunately at the young age of 26 Shane was diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer and after a short battle lost his life. We believe that there isn't enough awareness and media coverage of Stomach Cancer, especially in younger people and therefore since Shane has passed we have raised £1387.73 for Cancer Research and Macmillan, as well as continually raising awareness about stomach cancer around our local area and through our Facebook page; https://www.facebook.com/Dont-Stomach-Cancer-451185418738694/ Through participating in Pretty Muddy again this year we hope to raise eveb more money for Cancer Research UK and raise awareness of the symptoms of Stomach cancer, whilst keeping Shane's memory alive. Any donation small or large is greatly appreciated, but more than that sharing the following symptoms to save even just one life and stop family and friends going through what we are would be amazing! Possible Signs of Stomach Cancer: - Poor appetite - Weight loss - Abdominal pain - Vague discomfort in the abdomen - A sense of fullness after eating a small meal - Heartburn or indigestion - Nausea - Vomiting - Swelling or fluid build-up in the abdomen - Blood in the stool
