This one is for you Mumma B love you always! X x x x x

My Story

As of last September the word that no one wants to hear became so surreal for us a family. The dreaded word you don't want to hear when a family member becomes ill, more being when it's the one person you don't expect anything to happen too, this one person you look up to every single day thanking them for bringing you up into the world this person being our Mum. Sadly she got diagnosed with Cancer. Cancer so strong over the body that the doctors were unaware with how they were going to deal with it, getting the right diagnosis which took weeks to figure out for us, more important the right diagnosis for mum knowing what was going to happen to her in the next couple months. Days & nights spent in & out of hospital over the becoming months came a routine (not in a bad way, seeing someone you love so much in a place they hate was hard).. nothing being so difficult seeing your number one in so much pain not knowing how she was feeling or how to feel, but to sit & support her with making sure that everything that was going to happen was going to be okay, step by step things came in, sometimes 3 steps forward, but yet another day 5 steps back as something else was caused. The heart ache that we've been through as a family these past 9months have been something else that i don't wish upon anyone else. Being told that Christmas wasn't looking on the cards was one of the hardest things to be told as the Cancer was so aggressive taking it's toll all over, times that should be spent with the family that everyone knows, but for us a time that was so precious to see mumma on Christmas Day with us at home as a family was the the best present, she's fought through so much with many blood tests & blood transfusions to infections to not wanting to have anymore chemo .. calling it a day. From weakness to strength that is still on going i have so much respect & love for my mum forever grateful for what she's done for me, us as a family & people around her she'll always be admired. Not forgetting Grandad massive role model helping him. It hasn't been a easy couple of months, but now with mumma bear on the mend to better things & being told that the Cancer is no longer progressing anymore is good & no more chemo needed for the time being for the next 3months to live life as normal as can be with no more worrying is a slight relief! So as a big thank you to everyone, & to make more awareness that cancer is happening & sadly now on such a high scale around us this year Hollie & i have decided to run 5k this summer & raise money for all the help & support that we've had from the medical staff nurses/doctors/gp you name it, family & friends, work colleagues .. your support & time given to us as been so amazing wouldn't of got through without it with any of you! So if you would like to sponsor us please donate at the link below. Alternatively you can fill in our sponsorship form & sponsor us in person. We thank you in advance for any contributions. Finally, a big thank you to all those who have been part of this journey, who know who you are, thank you for your continuous support & love. We love you Mum, to the moon & back this one is for you x x x x x x x x
