Samantha Walks All Over Cancer
Having been in remission for nearly a year now I wanted to give something back.
In memory of
All those we have lost to Cancer
No one likes hearing the words you have cancer, when it happened to me in September 2016 all I could think of was my dad and how he went through operations and treatment without moaning or complaining right up until cancer took him from us. My dad was my role model when chemo was making me feel rough and my hair was failing out I would think to myself how would my dad handle this, it gave me the strength to pick myself up and get on with the treatment. Once the radiotherapy was finished and I received the news in May 2017 that I was in remission I was humbled as there are many who do not get to hear those words. I am one of the lucky ones. I had the support of a wonderful family and fantastic work colleagues and friends who helped get me through treatment. I count my blessings every day that I am healthy and back to living my life, and now I want to give something back, so being able to do this with my work colleagues is really exciting, We will be walking all over cancer.
