My Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This March I’m walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer. Help me Walk All Over Cancer and fund life-saving research by making a donation to my page. As many of you know Grant was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer which has changed our lifes immensely. We have had to face many challenges since being given this news. We know that there is no miraculous cure for Grant but what we do know is that there are many more options for treatment. We like to think that Grant is LIVING with cancer. We know that only a few years ago people in a similar situations had no treatment options and had very different prospects. This is why I feel I need to help fundraise to help the research continue to help give everyone living with these incurable cancers, options of living many years. As for me, I like to walk (not normally every day) maybe once a week and I don't walk nearly far enough so this is going to be challenge for me. With the evenings getting lighter I feel I can manage this even on the days I work. I am hoping that I will get a bit fitter and help with making me feel better and give me more energy and of course raising funds for this charity which is helping provide and research new medication.
