My motivation was seeing a little girl and her family go through the trauma of childhood cancer.
My Story
I decided earlier in the year to do the Shine walk to raise money for childhood cancer after seeing how it affects not only the child but the whole of their families. Not being a naturally athletic person, this is not going to be easy, but knowing I am raising money for this cause will help spur me on. Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there. Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives. CAUSE
Children's & Young People's Cancers
Cancer in children and young people is different from cancer in adults, both in the types of cancer they develop and the effects of treatment. As a result, it needs a different and dedicated approach. With your support, our researchers can continue to drive progress and transform outcomes for the youngest cancer patients.
