My Story

We live in a world where we’ve travelled to space, created electric cars and use drones in our everyday lives...yet we still don’t have a cure for cancer. Cancer is cruel. It’s relentless. And it has taken far too many lives. A year ago, it took my best friend, Brendt. Brendt was strong, disciplined and full of heart. He was an athlete who truly believed in the power of movement, not just for physical strength, but for mental resilience, confidence and better lives. He dedicated himself to helping young people through fitness, sport and health, always encouraging them to move, to show up and to believe in themselves. He trained me, challenged me and instilled in me the importance of movement...and squats were always a staple. Simple, effective, grounding. So this February, I’m committing to 100 squats a day in his honour. I’m raising money for Cancer Research UK because we have to do better. Because brilliant, strong, purpose-driven people like Brendt should still be here. Science has moved mountains and it’s time it moves this one too. Every donation, no matter the size, helps push research forward and brings us closer to a future where cancer no longer steals the people we love.
