I'm taking part in Race for Life in memory of my Grandma
In memory of
My Grandma
When I was 10 years old my Grandma was diagnosed with cancer. She had a tumour in her leg. For 3 years she battled with cancer. It spread to her lungs and then to the rest of her body. It was painful for us all to see her suffer. She passed away aged just 55 years old when I was 13 leaving a void in all our lives. She has missed out on so much including only meeting 4 out of 12 of her grandchildren. None of her great grandchildren. My grandad probably feels her loss the most! This race is a way of doing something positive to help ease the suffering of thousands of people and families who are battling cancer. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
