My Story

My biggest motivation to sign up to this fantastic cause is my extraordinary, inspirational and superhuman Grandad. Who is battling cancer for the 8th time on the other side of the world in New Zealand. This week is his last week of radiotherapy and through Skype he had told us he wanted to do a charity event to raise money for cancer! What a remarkable man! Little does he know ...I have signed up to this in his honour ❤️ I cannot wait to tell him. I thought 5k was quite achievable with little training (and as an ex sprinter I'm probably going to regret saying that!) but I really want to push myself for this and feel, for a split second, a millionth of what it must feel like to push your body to its absolute extreme to conquer the battle of cancer for the 8th AND HOPEFULLY FINAL time! ?? 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
