My Story
You may be aware that I’m running this year’s Brighton Marathon, you may also know that until fairly recently, I hated running, like completely despised it; being a PE Teacher does not pre-dispose one to enjoy running! Well, after starting by running 5ks as part of the Run5k4NHS fundraising effort to support Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS charitable funds during Lockdown 1.0, and keeping up running since, I quite enjoy running now! I have set myself the challenge of completing Brighton Marathon in between 3 hours 30 mins and 3 hours 45 mins in the hope that by doing it and putting myself through the pain that it will require to achieve, I can raise money for this amazing, but underfunded charity that will be used to continue to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. If you can, and want to sponsor my Brighton Marathon attempt, please pledge, however large or small, as every penny will go towards supporting Cancer Research UK to help beat cancer.
