My Story
There's so much going on at the moment, but it is still so important that we take time out to Race For Life in honour of Suzan and continue to support the important work that Cancer Research are doing. Without cancer treatments, I would never have known my dear grandma Joan - I have no memory of her battle with lung cancer as I was so young, but the treatment she received meant that I ahve many fond memories of her. Without cancer treatments, I would never have known Suzan, who was the most amazing and inspirational person I have ever met. Every day, I think of her and her spirit lives on within all those who knew and loved her. Because everyone who knew her loved her! I will be doing the Race For Life at Home - because, let's face it, I'm just not ready to be in that big crowd of pink at the start line... but it won't stop us getting dressed up in our pink t-shirts and enjoying our race together. I'm proud to be part of Suzan's Pink Army with my mum and my daughter. After a year where vital cancer trials have been delayed, the Race for Life is more important than ever. That's why I'll be taking part in the Race for Life at Home. Every pound you can donate will go towards Cancer Research UK’s ground-breaking work, so please sponsor me today!
