My Story
After a long and brave fight against Cancer we eventually lost our hero and Dad, James Hindmarsh, on 8th May 2019. He was only 73 years old. Despite numerous sessions of chemotherapy and a huge operation to remove his oesophagus, Cancer beat him. A previously extremely fit and active non-smoker, Dad didn't deserve to be taken from us so early. This summer I'm running the Ilkley Half Marathon in his honour and to raise money for Cancer Research UK. I would really appreciate it if you would sponsor me. Its for a great cause, and one which could impact 1 in 2 of us personally in our lifetimes. Thank you.

CAUSE
All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
