My Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. On 15th August, I will be running from Buckingham palace to windsor castle via thames path route covering 45 miles. In doing so i will attempt to set new Fastest Known Time (FKT) on this route which is also called as The Royal FKT (https://fastestknowntime.com/route/windsor-buckingham-royal-fkt-uk). Enduring those long miles is not the only challenge, i will have to navigate the route, figure out the fueling on the way and the current heat wave will put a scorching test. i am doing this to raise awareness and money for cancer research. My grand father died due to blood cancer. I have seen first hand the plight of cancer patients and i would not want anyone else to endure what he did. This is my chance to generate much needed additional revenue for CRUK at a time when the charity sector has been hit hard by the COVID-19 crisis. 15th Aug is when India became a free country. As an Indian, this day means alot to me and we celebrate it with family and friends. However, on this occasion i am taking a small step towards freeing humanity from Cancer one day. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I’m fundraising right now for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose!
