My Nan
My Story
My beautiful Nan was taken away from us 11 years ago this year after suffering from various cancers. She was the heart of our home, head of our family and the most kind hearted, generous lady that I had the pleasure of calling my Nan. Everyone thinks their Nan is the best, but she was one in a million. She was taken from us far too soon and if it hadn't been for this hideous disease, she'd still be living out her twilight years. Hopefully with the ongoing research, a cure will eventually be found and Cancer won't win. Cancer is happening right now, 1 in 2 people will have Cancer in their lifetime, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
