In memory of
My mum
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I’m raising money right now for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose! Donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. With one month to go until the Manchester marathon on 5th April and training going to okay (you can track me on Strava), I’m asking you to support me by donating towards my chosen charity of Cancer Research UK. I’ve chosen this charity for all the friends and family I know who have suffered, are suffering or have been affected by this disease, but especially for my Mum who fought and lost her battle some time ago. You can donate to my page, but I am also offering a sweepstake on my finishing time with the chance to win a prize for the person with the nearest time. The prize is either a ticket to the BDB Silver Jubilee Polo Tournament held on 21st June at Toulston Polo Club, Tadcaster as my guest with lunch provided OR a 3 hour one to one taster session to have a go at canoeing, kayaking, SUPing, windsurfing or all four with me at the Leeds Sailing and Activity Centre, Yeadon tarn sometime in 2020. I’ve never run a marathon before so I don’t know what time I will do, but my current half marathon time is around the 2 hour mark and my longer runs are at a slow pace to get my body used to them. Just enter your guessed time in hours, minutes, seconds in the comments with your name. The person whose guess is closest to my official chip time will win the choice of prize listed above. In the winning time is exactly between two guesses, the prize will be given to the guess with the lowest time guess of the two. Please give what you can. If Manchester is cancelled due to Coronavirus I will do another marathon event as soon as possible and that time will count.
