The Builders are taking part in Race for Life to raise money to beat cancer sooner

My Story

Did you know that 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime? That’s a lot of people. Whether you are battling Cancer yourself, or have watched loved ones undergo life saving treatment. There won’t be a single person that hasn’t been affected in some way by this disease. Cancer is happening right now, and more money needs to be raised to help save more lives. So, for one evening only, one half of The Builders will be putting on their trainers and squeezing into their spandex, to run 6 miles round the fields of North Weald. For those of you that know us well, will know some of us will breeze this, while others won’t (probably more of the latter!) Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work - and that work will help save lives. Dig deep people, and show The Builders some love. Wish us luck. And if you fancy meeting us in the pub after, we will let you know where we will be! Laura, Claire, Sarah, Ashley, Lara, Keeley, Rachel, Tarn, Brooke, Alex and Fiona. CAUSE

All Cancer Types

Our work has helped double cancer survival in the UK in the last 50 years. Despite this incredible progress, there’s more to be done. Nearly 1 in 2 of us will get cancer in our lifetime. Help us carry out world-class research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer.
