We are walking at Shine Night Walk in the fight to beat cancer
In September, Bre and I are embarking on the challenge of walking a marathon overnight. As runners rather than walkers, this has meant acquiring patience to slow the pace and up the stamina. Fortunately, plenty of tea and cake stops on our training walks have helped with our motivation! We know that the difficulties we face in training are little compared to those faced by sufferers, and we are particularly dedicating our walk to our close family and friends who have been affected by cancer. They are a true inspiration to us. Cancer Research UK have helped to double survival rates in the last 40 years, but without our support they cannot get any further. As Tesco say, every little really does help! We are incredibly grateful for any support you can offer us.

Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
