Lily-Mae & mummy are running the race for life
Lily-mae has asked if she could take part in the race for life after hearing it spoken about on the radio. For anyone that knows Lily-Mae they will know her own health issues and how a 5k run will be a big challenge for herself but at only 4 years old she is determined to get involved and help raise money to try to beat cancer. She understands the affects of cancer, how some people may not beat the battle, and sometimes even though a person beats cancer it can end up affecting them for life in other ways. Her cousin lost his sight after fighting a brain tumour at 12 years old. Lily-mae asked if her running would help more people like her cousin, when I told her yes she was even more adamant she needed to be involved. This is the first time she has shown real interest in a cause; I would love for everyone to join in with her enthusiastic attitude and please donate towards the cause. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.
