My Story
I'm taking on CRUK's The Great Row because beating cancer is important to me. In the last few years the big C has become a devastatingly normal topic of conversation amongst my family and friends. Someone once told me that you're only two degrees away from someone with cancer, and sadly they were kind of right. According to CRUK nearly every 1 out of 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Think about that - that's either me or you. Now I don't know about you, but right now I have close and amazing friends who are trying to beat the crap out of breast cancer, ovarian cancer, liver cancer and Leukemia and winning. Thankfully these guys are still alive and I'm so grateful that they are receiving quality care and have access to various types of new and improved cancer treatments that will continue to significantly improve their quality of life and ultimately enhance their chances of survival. It is for this reason that I wholeheartedly believe that we need to support organisations such as CRUK who are continuing to push forwards and are discovering new ways to improve the lives of those who are currently affected by cancer with the hope to ultimately kick i'ts a$$ and find a cure in our lifetime.
