My Story
My name is Rosie, I'm 22 years old, I love books, theatre, and music, and I am woefully unfit. In February 2019, I suffering an extremely bad asthma attack which lead to a trip in an ambulance, oxygen masks, and lots of tests. I haven't had an attack like this in 10 years, and I believe it is partly down to my fitness level. This is the most unfit I have ever been; my body is weak, which means my lungs are weak, which means asthma can thrive. So, I'm going to kick asthma's butt by increasing my fitness level! I have a very hit-and-miss (mostly miss) relationship with working out and running, and I really struggle to motivate myself to work out.To combat that, I have decided to run the Race for Life! Cancer touches lives so frequently and aggressively, and charities such as Cancer Research are so incredibly close to my heart. By running the Race for Life, I feel like I have a reason, a motivation, to get off my butt and go. Hopefully, this will spark some joy regarding running and working out for me. If you'd like to know more about why I am running the Race for Life, I have written a blog post about it here - https://rosielewiswrites.wordpress.com/2019/03/19/why-i-am-running-the-race-for-life/
