My Story
Over 2019 to 2021, I have had times of being bedridden due to Functional Neurological Disorder and a condition that has been affecting my heart rate and blood pressure. I am now appropriately medicated and getting some of the required support and it's really helping. As the result of this, I am fighting back stronger than ever, back in work, and walking everywhere I can! But why Cancer Research... ...Cancer is happening right now! There's a high chance we all know a sufferer, survivor or someone who sadly didn't make it. Nothing is more painful for these people than trying to smile and remain positive, but during and/or after chemotherapy and radiotherapy, you know the person is physically changing and/or has physically changed and they suffer with this sadness. Cancer affects 1 in 2 people in their lifetime and survival rate is just over 50%, which is double what it was 40 years ago. All of the research and improvements in medicine and treatment have allowed this to happen. Cancer Research UK has played a big part in the research side of this and continues to every day. Together, we can beat cancer! I appreciate you taking time to read this far... No donations are forced!
