My Story
From the 3rd to the 8th of April, Luke and I will be taking on the Cumbria Way to raise money for Cancer Research UK. For those who aren’t familiar, the Cumbria Way is a long-distance hike through the Lake District, starting in Ulverston and heading north to Carlisle. Across the 5 days, we’ll be walking over 70 miles, climbing an average of nearly 1000m in elevation every day, and carrying everything we need on our backs, even the beers! If it wasn’t already hard enough, we are adding to the challenge by also detouring to do some extra climbs (depending on how the legs are feeling!) – namely Scafell Pike & Helvellyn the highest point in England!! I’m sure many of you have your own stories involving cancer as we do, and any amount donated, no matter the size, is going to a great cause and will help motivate us to keep going! Thank you so much in advance for your support — We’ll be sure to share updates (and no doubt some windswept photos) from along the way.

CAUSE
All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
