This year I'm taking part in the race for life in memory of my Grandad who sadly passed away in 2007
In memory of
Grandad
My Grandad was diagnosed with Bowel cancer in 2005. He fought and sadly lost his battle 10 years ago in 2007. Grandad was and still is a huge inspiration to me, my mum and my brothers and sisters. He was a gentle soul and his family was the centre of his world. So to walk/jog/run the race for life this year to raise money and awareness in memory of him I s a great honour. My team mate, friend and agony Aunt Diane, is also my sons Auntie. Her and Jesses Dad Darren also lost their mum, Jesses Nan. So we will take part and support each other as we both remember two very special people. Any donations would be greatly appreciated as it is such a deserving cause. Wish us luck! Thank you xx Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. CAUSE
Bowel cancer
Over the past 40 years there's been dramatic progress in tackling bowel cancer and half of people diagnosed will now survive for at least 10 years. But with bowel cancer still claiming around 43 lives each day, more research still needs to be done. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat the disease.
