My Story
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page. We are taking on the Run 66 Miles Challenge to raise money for the Bobby Moore Fund and Cancer Research UK. Like many people, we’ve seen the impact bowel cancer can have on friends and family. It's a disease that affects so many of us and I'm sure many of you will have your own stories too. We are under no illusion that running 66 miles will change the world, but if we can do our small bit to raise awareness and help fund life saving bowel cancer research, it feels well worth the effort. We know that we all get asked for donations on a regular basis, but if you could spare £5, We’d be hugely grateful. Thank you for your support. Grace and Rob
CAUSE
Bobby Moore Fund
Bobby Moore was just 51 years old when he died. Shortly after his death in 1993, Bobby’s widow Stephanie Moore OBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund to raise money for pioneering bowel cancer research. Since the fund was set up , bowel cancer mortality rates have fallen by over 30%. However, with 48 people losing their life to the disease every day in the UK, we still have a long way to go.
