I’m no sportsman, in fact usually I’m doing well if I cycle 300 miles in a year. But in September I’m cycling 300 miles for Cancer Research UK. Peter, my stepfather died from Cancer just over two years ago, and it would have been his birthday this month. He was only 79 and a kinder, funnier, more generous man you couldn’t wish to meet. He went to his doctors with backache in November and died the following January, leaving a great hole in all our lives. He loved cycling, covering huge distances when he was younger, and would have found it hilarious that I’m attempting 300 miles! We’re all living through unprecedented and difficult times and charities like CRUK have been particularly badly hit as sponsored events have all but vanished over the summer. Every penny makes a huge difference to vital cancer research so please show your support with a donation to my page. Thank You.
