My Story
Cancer affects almost everyone, whether directly or indirectly. Like almost everyone I know, I have friends and family who have survived cancer, are currently living with cancer, or who have sadly died from cancer. Cancer Research UK (like many biomedical charities that fund essential and life-saving research) have taken a massive financial hit during the current pandemic. For this reason, I am walking at least 10,000 steps a day throughout March 2021 to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. I plan to run a substantial part of the distance (building up slowly as my current fitness level is pretty bad). This is a major challenge after being sat behind a laptop for the majority of the last 12 months. I will post regular updates on social media so you will be able to see how I am doing.
