My Story

Thank you for visiting my Cancer Research UK Cycle 300 page. This September, before the end of the month, I along with numerous other Wirral Bus Drivers will complete 300 miles on my bike for Cancer Research UK. I will be pedalling harder than ever because I want to raise money for life-saving research and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Cancer is a terrible disease that will touch many of us one way or another during our lifetimes. I lost my Dad, also a Wirral Bus Driver to cancer in July 2009, and it has also tragically afflicted many other friends and family throughout the years too. The sooner we find a way to beat cancer the better so literally every little helps.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
