My Story
In the last two years my brother and I have lost both our grandmother and grandfather to cancer and in September we will be running the Windsor Half Marathon in their memory. This means a lot to me personally as I was unable to attend my grandmother’s funeral earlier this year. This is therefore my way of saying goodbye to her. Statistics published by Cancer Research UK show that in the UK alone one person is diagnosed with cancer every two minutes and more than 1 in 3 people will develop some form of cancer during their lifetime. Cancer is a heart-breaking disease that affects far too many people across the world but a cure is possible. Every year we are making progress and more and more people are surviving cancer. Together we can beat it once and for all and put an end to the immeasurable suffering it causes. Please consider donating! Cancer Research UK is an amazing cause that means a huge amount to me. All donations, no matter how small, will make a big difference. Most of you probably know that running is not my strong suit and this is definitely going to be a challenge. Your support would therefore be greatly appreciated and in the end it may well be what pushes me over the finishing line.
