My Story
Hi, I'm Laiba! I'm 11 years old, and I want to help beat cancer! I know it's a young age, but you know that small children dream big, and those who dream big do big things! My aunt is a brilliant woman. She does lots of things to make me smile. Notice the present tense? My aunt was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Nasty thing it was. She fought it so well that she's still standing (yeah, yeah, yeah). She fought it so well, even when the doctors said she barely had a chance to live. She fought it when only her family and friends knew she could. She proved all who doubted her strength wrong. That's why you should sponsor me. To show her how well she fought. To show her that she did amazing. To show her how great it is that she was a warrior that beat cancer. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
