Ride with me - Lands End to John O'Groats

Total raised

Longest Day Up is a motorbike challenge to travel from Land’s End to John O'Groats on the longest day of the year between sunrise and sunset, its 1,000 miles. Bikes must have been bought and made roadworthy for no more than £600. I'll be making the trip on a rather special bike. I've kindly been gifted the bike from a gentleman who lost his wife to cancer. I'm busy making the bike roadworthy so I can complete the ride on behalf of this chap and his daughters and in memory of their wife/mum and also for everyone that cancer touches. I'm doing it in the hope that the fantastic research is able to continue so nobody has to experience the trauma and loss that cancer creates. I refer to it as 'the bike' but actually he's a he ... he's been lovingly named Arlo by my slightly reticent partner who didn't want her garden turned into a mechanics shop but now is totally invested, even allowing the carbs to be cleaned in the kitchen (apparently the dishwasher is still out of bounds !!) So, long story short if you've got few pounds to spare however small or large please support me, cancer research and the old boy Arlo to make the 1,000 mile trip to eventually kick cancer into touch.
