My Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. I'll be running the Yorkshire Marathon (https://www.runforall.com/events/marathon/yorkshire-marathon/) on 20th October to raise money for Cancer Research. My Mum has been battling cancer all this year and I want to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK. Her determination not to be beaten by this horrible illness has been incredible and I'm determined to raise money to help beat cancer more generally. Please donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. People say to me, "Oh, you do running all the time. This'll be easy for you." But a marathon is a big, big challenge - twice as far as I've ever run before in any previous event. I'll be trying to cross the finish line in around 4 hours and, I'll be honest, I find the prospect of running 26.2 miles in one go, in that time, pretty daunting. I'm having to put serious effort into my training and I'd like every penny of your support to help motivate me to the end! ...and if you fancy a day in York, I'd love to see you in person at the finish line too! :o)

CAUSE
All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
