Longest Day Up is a motorbike challenge to travel from Lands End to John O'Groats on the longest day of the year between sunrise and sunset. Bikes must have been bought for no more than £300. I have purchased a 1992 82000 mile Honda NTV 600, very tired, and needs a lot of attention.I will add photos soon. Please add GIFT AID to boost donation from government! 9/3/2021, Managed to get it started ok, next job,full brake rebuild, and sort flat tyre! 21/3/2021,Brakes now rebuilt, oil, filters,Carbs balanced.Need 2 new tyres, and sort electrics next. 4/4/2021,1st test ride on Good Friday, it felt ok, a few tweeks, and I thought it was ok, however, back home, discovered the forks seals had blown, forks now stripped out, new seals on the way to me. Should be sorted after this,I hope! Thanks again to all who have donated to date. 23/4/2021 After quite a lot of hard work, bike now has M.O.T. Will tax from 1/5/2021, and start riding it to get tuned in, ready for 1000 miles in 24 hours!. I have raised £940.00 to date, and I am 5th highest out of 34 riders/participants, would love to make top three! Many thanks again to all who have donated. 1/5/2021 M.O.T done, passed!, Taxed it from 1/5.2021.Did a 100 mile ride, without going too far from home, not too bad.now need some miles under my belt in preparation for the 1000 mile challenge.Thanks to all.
