Richard's Cycle 300 Fundraising Page

Thank you for visiting my Cancer Research UK Cycle 300 page. This September, before the end of the month, I will complete 300 miles on my bike for Cancer Research UK. I will be pedalling harder than ever because I want to raise money for life-saving research and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK. So why put myself through this. My step mum, Lorna has been diagnosed with cancer and has already gone through treatment once. They have now told her that her care is palietive. She has dealt with this will the most amazing attitude. She is still living her life to the full, her positivity is infectious. She has taken what could have devistated her and found a way to stay happy and focused on getting better. She is one of the most amazing people I have ever met and I have nothing but respect for her. I have been training for this, the best I’ve achieved so far is 50 miles in a week. It’s not going to be easy to get the extra 20 miles needed and then to keep it going for the whole month. Let’s face it though the pain and discomfort I’m going to suffer doing this is nothing to what people suffering from cancer go through. I think there may be quite a few cold baths coming my way. I may have fibromyalgia but if people like Lorna can battle so hard to overcome cancer I’m bloody sure I can cope with this for a month of my life.
