My Story
A challenge in aid of Cancer Research UK, for motorcyclists on cheap and inappropriate motorcycles to ride from Land’s End to John O'Groats in 24hrs on the longest day of the year. Bikes must have been bought for no more than £600! I will be taking part in this challenge with around 40 other riders who will be setting off at 4am on the longest day (Thursday 20th June) to ride 1000 miles using only A&B roads from Lands End to John O'Groats and hopefully arriving at the other end in under 24 hours. I have been a keen biker for over 40 years and although I have undertaken this event before, I don't underestimate the sheer scale of riding that distance. Particularly as I will be riding an old Honda 500 that has already seen a lot of miles pass under its wheels. So I hope that we will both rise, or survive, the challenge! I hope you feel able to donate, no matter how small, for what is a great cause.
