My Story
In Danny the Champion of the World, Roald Dahl wrote that “everyone deserves a dad who’s sparky.” I’ve been lucky enough to have exactly that! Over the past few years, my wonderful dad has faced the full shebang of cancer treatment with strength, humour, and so much grace. Watching him navigate it all has been a quiet lesson in resilience, and a reminder of how much love and courage can carry us through. Next Saturday (eek!) I’m taking on my first-ever half-marathon, and a trail run, no less, to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. Too many people I love, and too many my friends love, have been touched by this disease. If we can help even a little to change that, I think that’s something truly worth running for :-)
