My Story
In March 2016 I was diagnosed with dcis or ductal carcinoma in situ which is an early form of breast cancer. After a very difficult treatment plan entailing 5 operations in 5 months including a mastectomy, I have recently had my first mammogram since diagnosis which was thankfully clear. Screening will continue, and fear will last a long time. I am so grateful for all the support I had from so many sources during my 'journey' now it's time to give something back and have fun whilst doing it!! Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
