Story

10,000 steps may not sound like much to many people, and to others it may seem like a marathon. To me it is a challenge (my normal day sees around 6-7000 steps), but an achievable one. And it's something that I can do, where other people may not be able to. We've all lost someone in the past to some form of cancer. It's a horrible illness that takes it's toll in a nasty way. If I can help in any way, even just to make that journey easier for people, then I should.

This is for Bert, my grandfather in all ways bar blood, for Jamibu who was taken from us far too early, and for Terry Parker who inspired me to be a better scientist.

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This March I’m walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer sooner. Help me Walk All Over Cancer and fund life-saving research by sponsoring me. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.

Cause

Brain cancer

Each year in the UK, more than 9,400 people are diagnosed with tumours that start in the brain or elsewhere in the central nervous system. With more than 100 different types of brain tumour, donations can help Cancer Research UK find out what causes them and develop better treatments to improve the outlook for patients.
