Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH BREAST CANCER IN 2014. A NASTY ONE WHICH REQUIRED PLENTY OF TREATMENT. I SURVIVED. WITH THE HELP OF THIS TREATMENT, WITH THE HELP OF DOCTORS, NURSES, ONCOLOGISTS, RADIOLOGISTS, I HAVE BEEN LUCKY ENOUGH TO NOW BE IN REMISSION FOR 2 YEARS. WITHOUT THIS MY RECOVERY MIGHT NOT HAVE BEEN WHERE I AM TODAY.CANCER RESEARCH HAS GIVEN ME THIS TIME TO LIVE LIFE AS IT SHOULD BE LIVED. I AM STILL ON 'PAYBACK' THIS IS MY THIRD RACE FOR LIFE AND I HAVE THE MOST FANTASTIC TEAM OF SUPPORTERS, WHO ARE ALL RUNNING FOR THEIR OWN REASONS AS WELL AS FOR ME. I AM ALREADY INDEBTED TO THEM FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS OF FUNDRAISING. THEY ARE A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH, AND I AM PROUD TO BE THEIR LEADER.
