My Story

New Years Day Dook Arbroath 2020. Start 2020 with a refreshing dip in the sea and raise money for Cancer Research UK.I will be taking part in the 2020 new years dook. I have decided to do this after the passing of my amazing mum at age just 53. She was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in may 2019 and lost her battle just 5 months later. Esophageal cancer is one of the most aggressive cancers and is one of the 6th cancers that causes the most deaths. Please if you can donate it will be much appreciated.

CAUSE

Oesophageal cancer

Oesophageal cancer rates are rising in the UK, and it's one of the hardest cancers to treat. It’s the sixth most common cause of cancer death and survival rates are poor. Help fund one of Cancer Research UK's top priorities – finding ways to improve survival from the disease.
