Bill Harry Kathleen Joan Lorna Bobby
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This June I’m walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month. The money raised will go to areas most at need in the battle against cancer. Why now you might ask. It is 30+ years since my husband, Bill, died leaving me to bring up two wonderful children who are now amazing adults thanks to Gavin's ongoing love and support. I retired 2 years ago after nursing for 42 years and since retiring I have sat by the bedside of 5 dear friends whilst they have fought their own personal battles against cancer and they have lost their fight here in this world. So much more could be done to detect cancers earlier and treat them effectively if more funds were available. Please give what you feel led to give. Every penny counts. Thank you on behalf of myself and many others who may be affected by cancer.

Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
