Jenny Roe

My Story

Thank you for visiting my Donate in Memory page. Jenny, my sister and the mother of Emma and Mark had cancer 3 times but it was the ovarian cancer that took her life. She took, without hesitation, any treatment that might extend her life with her husband Dave. She lost her hair 3 times and regained it twice but the surgery and the repeated chemotherapy took a cruel toll and ultimately failed to halt the progress of the disease taking her from us when she so wanted and fought to live. Jenny was a regular contributor to Cancer Research UK which supports research into all aspects of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses. Please remember Jenny today and donate to help to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. If you are a UK taxpayer the value of your donation can increase by 25% under the Gift Aid scheme – at no additional cost to you. Please tick the Gift Aid box when you donate.

CAUSE

Ovarian cancer

Ovarian cancer is the fifth most common cancer in UK women, with more than 130 women every week told that they have the disease. It is often not diagnosed until it has spread, making it harder to treat. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to detect ovarian cancer earlier and find better treatments.
