My Story
Thank you for visiting our team sponsorship page. We are the “Red Hot Chilli Steppers”, a team of 17 passionate, driven, some might say “mad to do this walk” fundraisers. Have a look in the gallery below where you will see some photos of all our amazing team members ❤️. We are walking in memory of lost loved ones who were taken too early from this terrible disease, and on behalf of friends and family who have also lost people dear to them, or who are currently bravely battling Cancer themselves. They are all in our hearts. Each step will bring us closer to curing Cancer. We are: Alan Kennard, Andrea Simon, Annemarie Kennard, Avi Ahluwalia, Catherine Murray-Jameson, Carina McCormack, Donna Fox Julie Cano, Katie Jones, Margarita Bench Raj Ahluwalia, Shobhna Parekh, Shafraz (Shafee) Mohamed, Sienna Kennard Sophia Kennard, Stacey Lambert and Sian Reilly We are diverse in our makeup but are united in our mission. We believe the greatest gift is the potential to give to others. Together we are walking a half marathon through London at night on 24th September, to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. Step by step, we can make the world a better place and our dream is that one day it will be cancer free. Sadly most members of the Red Hot Chilli Steppers have personally been affected by Cancer, and have tragically lost family members and close friends because of this cruel disease. - We are walking because we want to help. - We are walking in memory of our lost loved ones. - We are walking to help people we know that are currently fighting their own cancer battles. - We are walking to help one day find a cure for cancer. Cancer is happening right now, which is why we're fundraising right now for Cancer Research UK. It's not how much we give but how much love we put into giving. There’s no time to lose as it’s affecting 1 in 2 of us now! It's not the amount that matters, but the meaning behind your donation. It doesn’t matter how big or small the donation, every penny really counts! Together let’s help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. We are grateful for each donation, and for all the support we have had to get us to this point. We will share stories and photos of us in our pink sashes, tutus and some members will even be sporting wigs and neon aplenty, as after all it is FUNdraising. You won’t miss us in our bright pink sashes!!! Donating through these pages is really simple, fast and totally secure and every donation will help to make a difference. Thank you so much for your support! Stay safe and keep well. :-)
