My Story
After a year where vital cancer trials have been delayed, the Race for Life is more important than ever. That's why I'll be taking part in the Race for Life at Home. Every pound you can donate will go towards Cancer Research UK’s ground-breaking work, so please sponsor me today! If you’d like to join the Race for Life at Home community, then sign up at raceforlife.org/race-for-life-at-home Time to think and reinvest in myself this last 12 months, has led me to try and give back now. I have improved my fitness level, and feel confident to achieve 5km. I am running for all my late friends, late colleagues and of course my lovely Mum, who have all succombed to this devasting disease. Fortunately through ongoing research, I also know an increasing number of 'survivors', from whom I gain confidence that the Big CA is not the killer it was. Additionally I have a number of friends, and friends of friends, who are currently going through their own cancer journeys. I am honoured to be part of that with them, and feel privileged they are willing to include me at such an intensely dark time. My aim is to provide hope for the future, laughter for today and celebration as we emerge into tomorrow. Please check out the information within the link, and consider signing up too! If you prefer, just donate whatever you feel to be the value - I'm sadly confident that everyone can remember a few people who have had cancer x let's stop this now.
