I'm taking part in Race for Life to raise money so others have the same chance that I did!
Last June, I received some news that no one wants to hear. I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer, the following 9 months was a whirlwind. 15 sessions of chemotherapy, where I lost most of my hair even though I tried the cold cap. Surgery before Christmas followed by 15 sessions of radiotherapy. I'm happy to say that I have survived Cancer, the chemo shrunk the tumour to nearly nothing and the surgery got the rest!! So I'm doing the race for life to raise money for clinical research like the trial I have been involved with and to also raise awareness in the fight against this horrible disease. So please listen to your body and if something isn't right please get it checked. If I hadn't have gone when I did, I could be telling a very different story. Xxx
