Cancer is a nasty, nasty illness, and something which you never really expect to affect your life. That is, until it does. My mum got diagnosed with breast cancer really suddenly, and the impact it’s had on our family is immeasurable. I’m running this race so that hopefully, one day in the not so distant future, people don’t have to go through what we have as a family.
CAUSE
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
