My Grandad
My Story
I’m running to raise money because most of us know someone who has had cancer. Luckily, with the technology, knowledge and medicine now available a lot of people win their fight and survive. Sadly, my grandad was diagnosed with a brain tumour last August which was a shock to everyone as he was a fit and healthy man playing golf three times a week. He fought to the very end and was so brave but sadly he passed away in January. He has left a huge hole in our family and we miss him greatly. I hope to make my grandad proud for raising money for such a good cause.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
