My Story

1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, including myself. My cancer story is like so many these days; shock at being diagnosed and relief that there's incredible treatments out there, meaning more than 2 years later I'm living a relatively normal life. One of the things that has given me a huge sense of wellbeing has been walking. Whether it's on the mountains of Morocco, through the rainforests of Costa Rica, or just along London's many hidden trails, the mental and physical wellbeing I get from walking helps me fight cancer in my own way. This September I'm really proud to be walking to raise money for Cancer Research UK, an organisation who work so hard to develop new treatments and fund essential research that save the lives of so many people like myself. And I'm so grateful to do this Shine Walk with friends who've supported me through the last couple of years; all friends who have had cancer affect their own families.
