My Story
I am walking the Cambridge Shine Night Walk 10K with my wonderful ballet friends to raise as much as I can for cancer research. My mother-in-law, Alyson, has fought cancer three times and has thankfully recovered, thanks to the ongoing research into cancer that allowed her to enter a clinical trial, for which we are incredibly grateful. Sadly, in 2019 we lost my father-in-law Steve, who had been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer months before. He fought very hard, but the cancer was too aggressive and was caught too late. I hope that one day, no one will go through what Steve and my husband’s family went through during his illness. We will always miss Steve very much, and I hope that with the money raised in his memory, we can help take steps towards that day.

CAUSE
All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
